and on Saturday, Saturday's Critters, and I'd Rather B Birdin'
All of these photos were made last Saturday when we went with friends to look for Autumn leaf color.

4. Rock Spring Nature Trail (Weekend Reflections and Saturday's Critters)

It was a pleasant walk with pretty reflections in the pond.

5. Heron and Crow (I'd Rather B Birdin')
Waterloo, Alabama, USA, November 3, 2018 |
Or perhaps the Great Blue Heron was bragging about what a large fish it caught and ate about 10 minutes earlier. It is absolutely amazing how much a heron's throat can stretch to swallow a large fish! (And their stomachs are very flexible, too).
Have a wonderful day!

That Rock Springs trail sounds intriging. My favorite photo was Happy Fall, Y'all. Made me smile!
ReplyDelete...quite the bridge.
ReplyDelete...festive.
...Bald Cypress?
...love those turtles, I didn't see many this summer.
...the Heron and Crow were having a conversation?
Thanks Lea for stopping by, enjoy!
At one time the Pond Cypress was considered to be a variety of Bald Cypress, but now botanists are beginning to believe that it is a separate species.
DeleteHave a wonderful day!
I would like to think the heron and crow are having a conversation. Cool shot! That bridge is amazing. Happy fall right back to you!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful collection
ReplyDeleteNice pictures, Lea. I wonder what the Crow and Heron were discussing.

The crow and heron shot is my favourite of these. The pond cypress trees caught my eye- I doubt those grow anywhere near here.
ReplyDeleteGreat pics, Lea! I love the heron swallowing the fish!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos. I love the shot of the bridge over the Tennessee River. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos.
ReplyDeleteHappy Fall Y'all! I love it! Great bird shots as well.
ReplyDeleteGreat collection of photos Lea! Those turtles are so cute.
ReplyDeleteI love that first photo. That bridge seems like it goes on forever.
ReplyDeleteI love the word "Y'all" or however you spell it. It doesn't come naturally to me as I grew up in the mountain west. We always used "you guys" instead of y'all. My favorite story is from a cousin of mine who was married to an Air Force officer. They were stationed in Alabama and at a neighborhood gathering she told everybody that "you guys" are invited to dinner next Friday. The next Friday she said about about ten of the husbands showed up.
Anyway, have a good weekend.
A funny story!
DeleteI did put the apostrophe in the wrong place. Thanks for telling me. I have now corrected it.
Hope you have a great weekend!
Happy Fall to YOU!
ReplyDelete(Sure Lovely Photos.)
