Thankful Thursday and
Little Things Thursday

American Coot, Pickwick, Tennessee, USA, December 3, 2017 |
Today I am thankful for migratory birds! Because of bird migration I can enjoy seeing many more birds than I would otherwise. This photo of an American Coot is from last year. When we go to meet friends at Pickwick Lake on Monday (for lunch at the Pickwick Inn), I hope to see that the Coots and other migratory birds have returned.
Have a blessed day!

Hello, I love seeing the migratory birds too. Cute shot of the Coot. Happy Thursday, enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteOh how lovely!
ReplyDeleteGreat shot of the coot. I think they are fairly shy, so I have never really gotten that close to one. We will not see them back here until late February or early March.
ReplyDeleteOur birds are all heading south now!
ReplyDeleteI too like to see the different birds at the different seasons---glad they migrate

...not one that I see here.
ReplyDeleteThis one looks quite stoic.
ReplyDeleteBirds are a lot of fun to watch. Thanks for linking up and have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteWhat a good photo. We saw a solid black large bird last week and wondered what it was. Now I'm thinking it might have been a coot! Enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteThat might be the best meal I have ever seen at an IHOP, but I haven't been to an IHOP in over 30 years. Maybe I will grant them one more visit for some tilapia.
ReplyDeleteI love the donkeys.
Years ago I built a pipeline in northeast Mississippi near Columbus. I loved the experience dealing with all the different people. Completely different pace than my home stomping ground (of the times) in Texas. In Mississippi, people wanted to get to know me.
