Sky Watch Friday

Pickwick, Tennessee, USA, May 10, 2024
We had cloudy skies for our trip to Pickwick Lock and Dam on the Tennessee River last Friday.

We enjoy watching the river traffic. Ingram Barge Company's 'John F. Secrest' was pushing its barges into the Lock on its way upstream towards Florence, Alabama.

Happy Friday!

Thankful Thursday and Little Things Thursday

Pickwick, Tennessee, USA, October 17, 2023
I am thankful that we live within easy driving distance of the Tennessee River. There are always interesting things to see, and we especially enjoy watching the river traffic.

This is Ingram Barge Company's "Evey T" exiting the Lock at Pickwick Dam going downstream towards Kentucky Lake. I could not tell for sure, but I think its 15 barges are loaded with either sand or gravel.
(3 barges across and 5 barges long)

Have a Blessed Day!
