Fig Trees

Thankful Thursday and Little Things Thursday

Prentiss County, Mississippi, USA, May 23, 2023
I am thankful to see a few green leaves on several of my fig trees! I lost three flowering shrubs to extremely cold weather last December, and I was afraid the fig trees were dead, too. It is late for them to be just now leafing out. We may not get figs this year, but at least some of my fig trees survived!

Have a blessed day!

Garden Bloggers' Bloom Day

The 15th of each month is Garden Bloggers' Bloom Day at May Dreams Gardens (see link below).

I am in the northeast corner of Mississippi, USA zone 7b.

Spiderwort, a wildflower

Another wildflower: Thistle

Hedge - a very invasive shrub, but beautiful when it blooms.

Burr Rose

A Running Rose that climbs on everything except the trellis that I want it to be on!

Clematis

A recent purchase - Marigolds to be planted as companions for my tomatoes.

And yes, my Tomatoes are blooming, too!

For a look at things to come: an Amaryllis bud in a pot on my front porch.

Happy Garden Bloggers' Bloom Day!

Prentiss County, Mississippi, USA, May 11, 2023
I planted my four Better Boy tomatoes in large flowerpots. The plants are still small, but I am excited to see blooms!
Have a blessed day!
