Macro Monday December 5 2011

I was astonished to see this tiny bee visiting the pansy blooms Sunday afternoon.

UPDATE: After visiting other Macro Monday blogs,
I think this is probably a hover fly, or flower fly, instead of a bee.

Scavenger Hunt December 4 2011

This week's prompts are Portrait, Nostaglic, Time, Full of Light, and Motion.

Portrait:
Man's (and woman's) best friend.
Duties include, but are not limited to,
Keeping a sharp eye on the birds at the feeders,
Chasing squirrels, killing moles, digging holes,
Running, jumping, and barking at noises in the night.
All that and unconditional love, too!

Nostaglic:

For all the cats I've known over the years,
For the cat stories my mother told me from her childhood,
For my aunt who loved cats so much that she converted an old house into a cat sanctuary
complete with an outdoor enclosure for the cats' enjoyment.

Time:
November 26th
and
November 30th
What a difference a few days make!

Full of Light:
Basking in the sunshine

Motion:
From my archives, October 2011, Crockett State Park, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee
