It was already 82F when I walked out in my front yard this morning at 7:30. The predicted high for today is 100F (38C). Do you see the spider web on the tree near the middle of the photo?

There you have it - a spider's view of the sun!
With that bright light, I think the spider was hiding somewhere with its eyes closed!

(That is pine straw caught in the web as it fell from the tree).

The Eastern Wood-Pewee, Contopus virens, is a migratory flycatcher that spends the Winter in South America and the warmer months in the eastern half of North America. This one was perched on a tomato cage in my garden.
