Michelle at Veg Plotting has a seasonal meme titled 'My Garden Right Now.' It is to encourage gardeners to show what their gardens look like at the beginning of each season. This is my entry for the Autumn edition.

Here in the southeastern United States, we are able to grow cool-season vegetables in the early Spring and again as soon as the intense heat of Summer gives way to Autumn's cooler weather. My favorite thing to grow at this time of year is 'Alaska' green peas. They germinate about a week after planting (today Sept. 2), and harvest time is two months later. The vines will grow more than knee-high, so I support them with a section of wire fencing. They will tolerate a light frost, but I am hoping we do not have frost until after harvesting early in November.
Happy Gardening!
