1. Monarch Butterfly (Orange You Glad It's Friday)
Prentiss County, Mississippi, USA, October 28, 2018
I was so excited to see a Monarch on my Butterfly Bush that I made a lot of photos!

I posted two photos on Monday, and now two more today. Don't be surprised if two or three more Monarch photos appear next week!

2. Tennessee River (Sky Watch Friday)
View of the Tennessee River from the Natchez Trace Parkway bridge in northwest Alabama, October 29, 2018
We had beautiful blue skies for our drive to Florence, Alabama, on Monday.

  1. Beautiful monarchs, happy to know these got down South successfully. I warmed up just seeing your photos.

  2. ...Monarchs are hard to beat.
    ...wonderful reflection.
...sure is BIG! that's why they stand on one leg!
Thanks Lea for stopping by, have a great weekend.

  3. Wow Lea you got lots going on for Friday. Like the reflection picture of the Heron.

  4. I have only seen a couple of monarchs this week. I think most of ours have moved farther south. Love the heron shot and the river is awesome!

  5. The monarchs and the herons have been gone from here for some weeks.

Those turtles are quite different from what we see here, and those we see here are pretty much gone for the winter.

  6. The heron pic is particularly great, Lea! No more butterflies here until spring.

  7. The monarch photos are stunning!! Have a great weekend.

  8. The Monarch butterflies are so gorgeous and that Heron is stunning with the reflection. Have a wonderful weekend.

  9. Hello! So interesting and great photos. The monarch is so beautiful.

  10. Hello, wonderful variety of photos. I love the Monarch, Heron and the sweet Killdeer. Great sighting of the slider turtle and the soft-shell turtle is a cool critter. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Happy Saturday, enjoy your weekend.

  11. Superb pictures of the Monarch butterfly, I also like your Blue Heron shot. So majestic.

  12. You've seen some of my favorite things...the Kildeer and soft shell turtle! Both are rare to see here and exciting!

  13. Seems late to me for a monarch butterfly but wow, your butterfly bush is still in beautiful bloom as well. Love the reflection on your Blue Heron shot. Hope you are having a great Saturday!

  14. All your photos of the critters & river are fantastic as always.
This weekend you've made us at I'd Rather B Birdin very pleased with your bird species and commentary...thanks!

I enjoy your comments!
