Tree Following, October 9, 2018
Tree Following is a fun and interesting meme. Just pick a tree, photograph it once a month as it goes through the seasons of the year, and post photos on your blog.
I was hoping that by now the young Red Maple I am following would be showing some Autumn color, but the only change I can see from last month is that it seems to be losing some leaves, probably due to the hot, dry weather we had in September.
Looking around, I was surprised and happy to find hundreds of tiny wildflowers hidden in the grass near the tree!
Barely the size of a fingernail, they probably belong the Aster family of plants.

The little flowers are very pretty.

ReplyDeleteSome trees here are changing color but most are still green!
ReplyDeleteThose little Asters are pretty. Most of the Maples up here in Wisconsin are turning colors. Some are losing leaves before they turn because of all the rain we've had. :(
