Great Egrets,
Ardea alba, breed across much of the United States before migrating to their Winter homes along the Pacific and Atlantic coasts, the Gulf of Mexico and southward into Mexico and the Central American countries. Look for them in shallow water, moving slowly or standing perfectly still, stalking fish. In addition to fish, they eat insects, crustaceans, small reptiles, and amphibians.
Have a wonderful day!

ReplyDeleteGreat photo! They are amazing birds!
ReplyDeleteThat's a great picture. I've been trying to see one here in the UK for the last few months. There are a few around at the moment but I've had no luck yet.
ReplyDeleteThey once almost went extinct but thankfully these birds are widespread once again. Beautiful pics!
