Thankful Thursday and Little Things Thursday

Prentiss County, Mississippi, USA, October 7, 2019
Thankful for the rain that came Sunday night!

Husky Cherry Red Tomatoes, Prentiss County, Mississippi, USA, October 8, 2019
And the cooler temperatures that came with the rain makes me hopeful of getting more tomatoes. When temperatures rise into the high 90s F (as it does every Summer here in Mississippi), the tomato plants are reluctant to bloom. Milder temperatures - more blooms, more tomatoes until frost comes (avg. date Oct. 28).

I am thankful for the rain and for the cooler temperatures!

Have a blessed day!

    1. But you know it's coming, and sooner there in NY than here!

  2. I find October a perfect time of the year living in the south. The cooler temps means no more ac on or having to put the heating on yet.

  3. Wishing for more rain for you so you can have more tomatoes. You know us southerners and their tomatoes!! Love them.

  4. I'm afraid my tomato plants have succumbed to the frost, but it was a great season while it lasted!

  5. I picked the last of my tomatoes last month. Your frost is a month later than ours.
