1. Tennessee River (Sky Watch Friday)
|
Shiloh, Tennessee, USA, September 15, 2019 |
We had blue skies with fluffy white clouds for our trip to Hagy's Catfish Hotel Restaurant for lunch on Sunday. The food was delicious, and we had a good view of the river traffic from our table.
The boat pushing the barges is the 'Addi Belle.' The Tennessee River is wider than it looks in my photos.
2. Colonial Bread (Signs, Signs)
|
Pickwick, Tennessee, USA, September 2, 2019 |
Colonial Bread had its beginning in Oklahoma City in 1928. In 2001 it was bought by the Sara Lee Corp.
3. The Most Unusual Thing I Have Seen This Week
|
Tupelo, Mississippi, USA, September 14, 2019 |
Who needs a truck? Just strap that couch on the top of the car and away you go!
4. Good Food!
|
Tupelo, Mississippi, USA, September 19, 2019 |
At Chili's Restaurant I ordered the Chicken Fajitas, and my husband ordered the Bottomless (all-you-can-eat) Soup, Salad, Chips, and Salsa. He chose chili as his soup, and it came topped with cheese and tortilla strips. My chicken was served on a sizzling hot platter of onions and peppers with beans and rice on the side. They brought the chips and salsa part of his meal to the table first, and we ate half of it while waiting for the rest of the food. The entire meal was delicious from start to finish!
5. Skipper (Saturday's Critters)
|
Prentiss County, Mississippi, USA, August 25, 2019 |
Silver-spotted Skippers,
Epargyreus clarus, are common in the eastern half of the United States and extreme southeastern Canada. They may also be found in the western half of the continent in a few areas. The bright silver-colored splotch on the underside of their wings gives them their name and makes them easy to identify.
Have a wonderful day!

...I never saw one this year.
Thanks Lea for stopping by, enjoy your weekend.
Colonial Bread provided signs for cafes, but the bread was not very good. That couch does not seem to be strapped down to the car. It must be driving slowly.
ReplyDeleteLove the butterfly and the meal which has made me think about lunch! ;-)
ReplyDeleteWow lots of cool shots. Lunch looks good

ReplyDeleteI like that old bread sign. Very cool. Oh, and don't follow behind that car with the couch on top too closely!
ReplyDeleteLovely views of the river!
ReplyDeleteI hope the car with the couch doesn't go over a speed bump. I also liked the old advertising sign; they have such character.
