Willy Nilly Friday 5, Floral Friday Fotos, Foliage Follow Up, and Week-end Reflections

1. Coleus
Prentiss County, Mississippi, USA, June 8, 2017
Foliage Follow Up Day is the 16th day of each month.
Coleus and Airplane Plant make a pretty combination on my front porch. (They are in 3 pots).

2. Canada Geese - Week-end Reflections
Tupelo, Mississippi, USA, April 16, 2017

You may remember seeing this photo of four goslings on my blog in April.

Here they are two months later with their parents!

3. Guitars on Main Street
Tupelo, Mississippi, USA
The Elvis Presley Festival, held the first week-end in June in Tupelo, celebrates the music of Elvis Presley. There is lots of music, of course, but also a 5k run, arts and crafts, a pet parade, and tours of the Elvis birthplace.

Tupelo, Mississippi, USA
Two dozen (or more) metal sculptures, painted by school children, are permanent fixtures along Main Street.

4. Wildlife
Prentiss County, Mississippi, USA, June 14, 2017
We had an unexpected visitor on Wednesday - a Box Turtle.

5. Lantana - Floral Friday Fotos
Prentiss County, Mississippi, USA, June 13, 2017
A strange thing happened this week...
I was just walking along, minding my own business, when this cute little Lantana jumped off the shelf into my shopping cart and came home with me!

I hope you are having a great week!

  3. Beautiful collection of photos! Love the geese! Lantana's are great! They grow wild in our yard and attract butterflies, dragonflies & even the hummingbirds. I love the orange ones! Nice choice!

  4. A beautiful post, I'm familiar with all the plants, but some that you have can only be grown indoors here or in a greenhouse, always lovely to see.
    Have a good weekend, Gordon.

  6. It is a cute plant that found a home with you. We visited Graceland in January. Quite a tour they have there. Learned more than I thought I would about Elvis.

  7. Isn't that weird? Plants do exactly the same with me.. just leap off the shelf and into the cart. I wonder why they do that? :)

  10. The Coleus are so pretty and colorful.
Wow those little gooslings have certainly grown.
Love Elvis, Loved the sidewalk art.
    Cute little box turtle.
Lantana is so pretty. I bought 2 this summer. One is a light yellow/white combo. I've only seen them in the orange variety like yours (which I also bought) - Funny how these plants jump into our shopping carts.

  12. Would love to have some coleus, but I told myself 'no pots' this year. You can keep your geese. I live on a six-acre park and they make a huge mess here.

  13. Love the geese and the lantana! An Elvis Festival would be so much fun! I haven't been able to connect to Tanya's linky in months and months, though Mascha has been adding my link for me....but I couldn't see anyone else's posts either. Today, amazingly, I connected vis someone else's link! So I could see your post.
