2. In the Spring I bought a package of mixed colors Gladioli bulbs. This is the first one to bloom.

3. Bird song.
I found a website that teaches a person to identify birds by their songs, but when I clicked on the first song, my cat went rampaging around the room looking for the bird!

4. On Monday we met friends for lunch at the Pickwick Inn. We had a great view of Pickwick Lake from our table.

We spent a few minutes walking along the lake shore. All the boats we saw at the dock were pontoon boats.

5. Ruby-throated Hummingbirds at the feeders on my front porch
Only the males have the red throat feathers.

    Wonderful five. The glad makes me think of my Mother -- lovely color. Hummingbirds -- so special. I've always wanted a tulip tree -- don't have anyplace to put it! Ha! Having lunch near a lake looks like a great idea. Happy Friday!
