Wildflower Wednesday - Seeds, May 27, 2015

.
The Booneville, MS Public Library was giving away free seed packets.  Free seeds! - They didn't have to ask me twice.  This mixture contains seeds for sunflowers, lupines, zinnias, coneflowers, California poppies, butterfly weed, black-eyed Susan, bergamot, blue tansy, white sweet alyssum, blue flax, scarlet flax, Indian blanket flower, baby's breath, marigold, asters, cosmos, coreopsis, and larkspur. Enough seeds to create a small wildflower garden!

The back of the seed packet explains how important it is to provide habitat for birds, bees, and butterflies: "Every third bite of food we eat is due to pollinators."

Happy Wildflower Wednesday!

  4. What a wonderful thing for the library to do. Pollinators need all the help they can get and it's good to see libraries lending a hand.
