You may think we have a lot of weeds on the slope down to the barn, but they are Wildflowers! Very attractive to bees, butterflies, and seed-eating birds.
No bees or butterflies were out in the rain, but this Indigo Bunting, Passerina cyanea, was ignoring the weather as it searched for seeds and insects.
Have a blessed day!

ReplyDeleteLike your barn, spring flowers and the beautiful visitor. Lovely!
ReplyDeleteHello, great barn find. I love the pretty Indigo Bunting too. Enjoy your day, wishing you a happy new week ahead!
ReplyDeleteThe bird is quite distinctive.
ReplyDeleteI love your view. No doubt the little creatures thank you for letting the wildflowers grow. I'm doing my best to create a haven for them in the yard.
ReplyDeleteamazing capture of the indigo bunting...any one I see is always flitting away. Love that barn shot, too.
ReplyDeleteAgree with the Indigo bunting - you gotto eat:):) rain or not. Am happy you saw him! In a short while am going to talk about the color Indigo in one of my future posts! Hope this coming week it won't be so rainy where you live! Have happy Spring Week - from All Seasons, Junieper/Jesh
ReplyDeleteOur back yard 'grass' is several types of weed/spring flowers! I love it. Paintbrush, and some fungasy-like thing, and wild strawberries! I love it!
ReplyDeleteNice little barn. I love the wildflowers.

I love wildflowers....more people should have them instead of lawns, which really are a waste. The rain will help them grow (but I know the feeling of frustration when you can’t “go outside and play” (or the grown-up version of play, take pictures!)
ReplyDeleteBirds and barns Two of my favorite things.
ReplyDeleteYou made good use of a rainy day!
ReplyDeleteWow Lea, had no idea you survived cancer! Yes, the good Lord must still have a purpose for you to be among the living (probably for the living)! Thank you for letting me know!
