Thankful Thursday and Little Things Thursday

I am thankful to be a cancer survivor (and I praise God for it), and I am thankful for organizations like Camp Bluebird and other support groups that help so many people.

Last weekend I went to Camp Bluebird for Cancer Survivors at the Fellowship Christian Retreat at Crow's Neck on Bay Springs Lake.

We, the early birds, enjoyed walking beside the lake as the rising sun spotlighted the new day.

All across the campgrounds there were Bible verse signs like this one - 'Peace Be Still.' I remember seeing 'Immanuel,' 'Let not your Heart be Troubled,' 'Healer,' 'Living Water,' 'Bread of Life,' 'Light of the World,' and there were many more.

I thought the face on this tree in front of one of the cabins looked like a Moose, but my friend said, 'No, it's a Camel.' What do you think?

First-time campers received a free shirt featuring this year's theme 'The Olympics.' There were left-over shirts, so I bought one for myself. This is my fifth year to go to Camp Bluebird, and I am very thankful!

And yes, we made Bluebird Houses! Seven pieces of wood, a dozen nails, and a screw. I will nail it to a tree at the edge of our woods.

Have a blessed day!

  4. Hi, I came over from Michelle's Thankful Thursday. Neat pics here. I'm going to say MOOSE for sure on that tree. :-) Maybe that's just because I've seen plenty of moose but not too many camels. :-)
