Northern Rough-winged Swallows,
Stelgidopteryx serripennis, are cavity-nesting birds of the United States and parts of southern Canada. Their winter range extends into Mexico and the Central American countries. Flying insects are their primary food source; they catch them in flight.

ReplyDeleteIt's been a few years since I've seen this species of swallow. AND to see the turtles, another plus. But in my book...it's the water. It's so dry here without rain that all the ponds are dried up.

ReplyDeleteSuch a variety of sizes here in the turtles. great shot! When I approach turtles , they all take a dive in the water and disappear!
