Common Grackle, May 3, 2017

ABC Wednesday and Wild Bird Wednesday
Q is for Quiscalus quiscula - the Common Grackle, a bird of eastern and central North America

Tupelo, Mississippi, USA, March 17, 2017
At a distance the Common Grackle, Quiscalus quiscula, may look solid black, but if you
can get a closer look - iridescent colors! They eat insects, crayfish, frogs, mice, fruit, corn
and other grains.

Have a wonderful day!

  5. When you look at them up close, there's nothing "common" about them!
