Oxalis blooms are very small, but what they lack in size they make up for in hardiness, blooming almost non-stop.

Week's Favorite
Prentiss County, Mississippi, USA, January 6, 2016 |
Good thing this calf has on its winter coat as temperatures are dropping below freezing at night. (Yes, it does have shelter from the wind and rain, and has plenty of hay to eat).
Outside
Tupelo, Mississippi, USA, January 7, 2016 |
With this week's dreary weather I knew that to get an interesting outside photo I would need to include animals. The Canada Geese at Ballard Park posed beautifully for me!
Happy Friday!

ReplyDeleteA great series of shots.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful series! Here I was quite jealous of your dry ground and now you tell me it's cold. Lovely geese. Thanks so much for joining Friday's Hunt.
ReplyDeleteHistory lover here ... I'd enjoy browsing through the train museum.
ReplyDeleteGreat close up of the calf. Enjoyed the other shots too.
ReplyDeleteLove the colorful clouds in your header. Nice shot for Skywatch, too. The community college building does have a vintage look to the color of the brick. My brother worked on Hueys in Viet Nam. The calf's fluffy coat looks warm. Geese always seem to be available, don't they?
ReplyDeleteMy favouritte shot is of the Canada geese. beautfiul lighting in this shot although i also love the whote flowers. They look like bright stars. Have a lovley weekend.
ReplyDeleteHello, I love the pretty flowers. Cute calf! Have a happy weekend!
ReplyDeletegreat skies everywhere :)
ReplyDeleteThe moo cow looks a little peeved. We had a huge flight of Canada geese come in and stop on the river for a night's rest. They were loud!
ReplyDeleteHow fun to find flowers blooming in January and the geese do look like they are posing just for you! :)
ReplyDeleteThe student services building has a nice welcoming feeling to it and I like your favourite little calf, such a sweet face.
ReplyDeleteAwesome shots! I like how you caught the light falling on the community school building.
ReplyDeleteThe View from the Top of the Ladder
Lovely shots! The oxalis is often maligned, but there are some very pretty garden varieties now.
