Red-Tailed Hawk, Lee County, Mississippi, January 7, 2016 |
And from January this year - a Red-Tailed Hawk. Even though I was quite a distance away, pushing my zoom to the limit, I think this hawk saw me, too.
And since it is Saturday...
Tennessee River at Pickwick, Tennessee, USA, December 7, 2015 |
...you get another Great Blue Heron photo!
The water is so high, the Herons are the only ones that can use the pedestrian walkway beside the river. Thankfully, the actual river bank is still several feet higher than the water at this point.
Hope you have a beautiful week-end!

Good morning, great collection of birds. I love the pretty male Cardinal and the heron. The hawk is an awesome sighting and capture. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Have a happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteNice variety of birds. I always love cardinals but in the wild with the point and shoot that I carry when running they are devilishly hard to photograph.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos of the birds ~ hard to choose a favorite ~ but do love the cardinal.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a fun weekend, ^_^
Great shots! The cardinal is just beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThose hawks don't miss anything. I'm impressed you got that great shot!
ReplyDeleteI'm always amazed by how different a heron looks when standing and flying.
ReplyDeleteThe colour of the cardinals never ceases to amaze me - I got rather over excited the first time I saw one!
