After eating Thanksgiving lunch with our cousins, we drove over to Pickwick to see if the Gulls and Herons were there.

Ring-Billed Gulls and Great Blue Herons |
When water is being released through the spillways, the Gulls and Herons have a wonderful time fishing.

ReplyDeleteWonderful shots. I love herons and really enjoyed seeing the Great Blues.....Happy Critter Day!
ReplyDeleteThere looks to be rich pickings once the sluice gates open. The gulls and herons had a good Thanksgiving meal I think.

ReplyDeleteWow, that is a dam, lovely. I love Herons and Gulls, fantastic.
ReplyDeleteThese are great.
ReplyDeleteThis is so neat to see because I just saw my first great blue heron here only this morning. It was hanging out by our neighbor's pond. It was too far away to get a decent pic though.
Gulls are so graceful. Herons are not always graceful but they are awesome!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful images! Watching them would be a perfect way to spend an afternoon.
ReplyDeleteSpectacular action photos and stills.
ReplyDeleteThe Blue Herons are nicely camouflaged with the rocks in the background.
Have a Beautiful Day!
Peace :)
