Thrasher, Mississippi, USA, November 15, 2015 |
When we accidently drove past our destination, we turned around in a church parking lot. This hawk was sitting on the church's electric power line. Serendipity!
I'm not sure what kind of hawk it is. The most commonly seen ones here are the Red-Tailed Hawk and the Red-Shouldered Hawk.
The patterns of its feathers are so pretty!
Have a wonderful week-end!

ReplyDeleteMy goodness....serendipity indeed!!! And so beautiful it is. I'm not sure which species it is...but my guess is a 1st year [or juvenile] Fabulous images.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this weekend at I'd Rather B Birdin'.
Pretty hawk! I saw one on the trees on the mountain yesterday, but it did not let me close enough for even a bad picture.
