On Sunday we had pleasant temperatures and partly cloudy skies for our trip to Jackson, Tennessee. This beautiful house is near the Casey Jones Museum.

We ate lunch at the Old Country Store Restaurant. It is a family buffet-style restaurant with plenty of choices. I had ham with pineapple, black-eyed peas, white beans, okra and tomatoes, a green salad, fruit, a generous slice of cinnamon pound cake, and iced tea. It was delicious!
The clouds were moving on in as we drove home to northeast Mississippi. We had heavy thunderstorms Tuesday night, bringing 5 inches (over 12 cm) of rain. Happily, the forecast is for sunny skies this week-end.
Hope you are having a beautiful day!

ReplyDeleteI knew that was a 'southern' house when I clapped eyes on it....I love how the verandah's and pillars add a grandness to it.

A lovely house indeed with a lovely little picket fence. I like the big widows walk at the top as well.
