Saturday's Critters and Camera Critters

I think this is a Question Mark Butterfly. It is easier to tell the Question Mark Butterfly from the Comma Butterfly by the pattern on the undersides of their wings, but this one photo is all I have.

Hello Lea, pretty capture of the butterfly and the duck! The scenic and tree shot is beautiful. Thank you so much for linking up and sharing your post. Have a happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteLovely! I raised a Question Mark from a chrysallis!
ReplyDeleteHi Lea, that is a beautiful butterfly. I don't remember ever seeing one of these before. Your ducks are cute and the tree with the sunlight on the branches is such a pretty scene. Enjoyed them all. Have a great weekend :)
ReplyDeletePickwick Lake sounds like a lovely old-fashioned sort of place. Dickensian even?
ReplyDeleteIt is a small town on the Tennessee River, and yes, it got its name from Dickens!
DeleteHave a great week!
Lea
I have never seen or heard of a Question Mark butterfly so thanks for broadening my knowledge today! Wonderful photos!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful butterfly shot and love the duck ones too!
ReplyDeleteHappy Weekend to you,
artmusedog and carol
Awesome capture of the butterfly! Enjoy your weekend.
ReplyDeletesuch cute ducks. yes, question mark butterfly as it has a 'dashed line' mark above the circle on each upper wing portion whereas the comma does not have the dash mark. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Lea, I enjoyed your photos. I took a bunch of either a comma or question mark feeding next to a bunch of flies and wasps on some watermelon rind on my compost pile. I only got the outside of it, and still couldn't tell, because the white mark did not have a dot to complete the question mark. Whatever they are, it's cool to have them around.
ReplyDeleteFIne set of photos! Love the ducks and that last picture is a real beauty!
ReplyDeleteHello!:) Pretty butterfly capture, I think the question mark species look like autumn leaves.I like your last photo of Bear Creek, it's beautiful.
ReplyDeleteYour duck images resemble those that come from a Nature Magazine publication! Well done!!!
ReplyDeleteLucky you to see a question mark butterfly this year. I never saw a comma or a question mark all summer!
ReplyDeleteGreat duck shot! :-) Love that last photo, too.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful butterfly - I've never yet captured a photo of one.
ReplyDeleteVery nice butterfly - we are staring to see them most days now - its a nice part of spring to see them come back.

Love the ducks and the pretty walk. And the butterfly is wonderful ( and as always I'm envious of the good picture).
ReplyDeleteBeautiful butterfly.
ReplyDeleteI like the angled view of the butterfly, and the ducks are so cute! The stream looks like a lovely walk, Lea.
