Turkey Vulture, Lee county, Mississippi, USA, August 10, 2015 |
I expected this Vulture to fly as soon as we stopped the car on the side of the road, but it just sat there on the pasture fence looking at us. And a very interesting fence it is. I think the iron rod construction on the left is (or was) a gate.
I wanted to get an in-flight photo, so we beeped the car horn. Still it sat.
My dear husband got out of the car and yelled 'shoo' at it, so I could get the photo I wanted!
Have a Wonderful Day!

ReplyDeleteThat's a big post and one huge bird Lea. An apt name for the bird too.
ReplyDeleteCool captures of the vultures! Great fence scene and photos.
ReplyDeleteI've never seen a turkey vulture in the wild so I think it's cool you spotted this one sitting on that fence post. Great shots and your hubby was so nice to help you get an in-flight shot.
ReplyDeleteHa! Now that's a good husband! Love these shots.
ReplyDeleteReally neat shots of the vulture and of the gates and fence. Love the one of it flying and how it got to fly :)
