Willy Nilly Friday, January 24, 2020

Willy Nilly Friday 5, Sky Watch Friday, Signs 2,
and on Saturday, Saturdays' Critters, and I'd Rather B Birdin'

Click on the photos to see them at their best.

1. Sunny, but Cold (Sky Watch Friday)
Shiloh, Tennessee, USA, January 19, 2020
We have had so much rain that when we got a sunny day, off we went to eat at Hagy's Catfish Hotel on the Tennessee River. We like to get a table by the windows so we can watch the river traffic.

The "Harley Hall" owned by Tennessee Valley Towing. The water is high; usually there is a beach visible on the far shore.

2. Cafe (Signs 2)
Hardin County, Tennessee, USA, January 22, 2020
Whistlin' Dixie Trading Post and Café

They have a good crowd at lunchtime, but it was mid-afternoon when we passed by.

3. The Most Interesting Thing I Have Seen This Week
Pickwick, Tennessee, USA, January 22, 2020
Ice in the trees on the banks of the Tennessee River (but no ice on the river itself).

4. Great Blue Heron (Saturday's Critters)
Pickwick, Tennessee, USA, January 22, 2020
Do Critters try to hide from you and your camera like they try to hide from me?

5. Red-tailed Hawk (I'd Rather B Birdin')
Lee County, Mississippi, USA, January 17, 2020
Red-tailed Hawks, Buteo jamaicensis, can be found all across the North American continent.

Have a wonderful day!

  4. Wow that's a lot of ice on the tree! I bet I could spend some time in the whistlin Dixie trading Post and then have some lunch...the "catfish hotel" is a funny name!

  6. Great to see some more about your life here! Thanks for your encouragement of my post "the color Indigo." I know, several who normally give a comment, are not responding, or putting in a "like" because they they are afraid of the opinion of man and how it will effect their reputation in blog land.

  12. Love the collection...it’s fun to eat where you can watch the water! And yes, birds hide from me. And even when they’re out in the open they fly from me the minute I aI my camera. ))You got a decent picture of the hawk tho...you discovered his hiding place!
