Thankful Thursday and
Little Things Thursday

I am thankful that the Bald Eagles,
Haliaeetus leucocephalus, have returned to their nest at Shiloh National Military Park to raise another family this year! We saw only one bird when we were there on Tuesday, but I feel sure that its mate was nearby.
Have a blessed day!

ReplyDeleteHow awesome! I never see them here in Virginia but when we lived in Missouri there was an area along the river right down the road from me where you could always find them!
ReplyDeleteHow amazing! And what fun to know where they are to check on them! Enjoy your day!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo! What a wonderful sight to be thankful for. I am reminded to be thankful to Rachel Carson, who warned of the destruction of birds of prey in her classic "Silent Spring"!
ReplyDeleteWe are starting to see more and more of them in our region too! I just love it.
ReplyDeleteIt is so encouraging that Bald Eagles have made such a recovery. We saw one locally on Tuesday.
