What a magnificent hawk and your pics came out so great! I love seeing them in the wild too! Happy weekend!
ReplyDelete...these are great Lea, they fly away too fast for me.
ReplyDeleteFabulous Hawk images. Tell, what sort is it, thanks.
ReplyDeleteQuite a distinctive looking hawk!
ReplyDeleteLooking for something to eat!
ReplyDeleteI came over to see your hawk in question. I do believe it's more than likely a young red-tailed hawk because of the pattern on wing feathers. Also, a juvenile red-tailed does not have the distinctive "red" tail (after they reach a year or more...the spots on the chest/breast are numerous, like a red-tailed. Red shouldered has fewer!) That's my guess.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful compositions Lea. And, thanks for linking in this week.
Okay...I just looked up the red shouldered juvenile in my Crossley guide. Scratch all I typed before...99% positive it IS red shouldered.
Deleteyou captured the hawk beautifully!! i have one hanging around my yard, it is scaring all of my little songbirds!!!
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos of the hawk. Thanks for your comment on my blog about the difference between rabbits and hares. I never knew that!
