If our temperatures hover around freezing (a bit above in the day, but below freezing at night), our weather is clear and cold. If the temperature begins to rise, we can be sure that rain is on its way!
I have forgotten the name of this Spirea that is just beginning to bloom. Later in the month the entire bush will be completely covered with these delicate little blooms.
Hellebores!
.
And then there are Daffodils!

Ah, almost spring! We are still a couple of months away from daffodils and the like, but I do have a hellebore in my yard trying to bloom. Sadly it's under several inches of snow (and ice) right now. But we got above freezing yesterday and are above freezing right now. Maybe spring really is just around the corner? Happy GBBD to you.
ReplyDeleteMy claytonia aren't flowering yet, you have some beautiful hellebores!
ReplyDeleteWow, they are all so pretty. I am envious of your blooms, we are slow to see anything around here. Enjoy your day and happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteOooo... daffodils! My Tete-a-Tetes have buds, but the big ones seem to have disappeared during the winter.
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful capture of Daffodils and hellebores ...seems like your spring time has come in garden.
ReplyDeletehave a great week ahead.
I love all your early spring/late winter blooms, especially that spirea.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! We'll probably see daffs by May.
ReplyDeleteYou are blessed with such lovely blossoms already! We won't see any for weeks yet!
ReplyDeleteWow! So many hellebores! And a good variety of daffodils!
ReplyDeleteOh, this post is a joy to see! I can't believe you have Spring Beauties already! I don't see them until late April, at the earliest. I know the Daffodils and Hellebores will be blooming sooner, though. Your photos give me hope! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! My Daffs have huge buds now and of course the Hellebores are full of flower. I ave Pink Frost and Ivory Prince---thanks for showing them

I'm surprised to see that you have daffodils already, Lea! All I've got is foliage so far. I'm envious of the hellebores and that very pretty Spiraea. Technically, hellebores and at least one species of Spiraea will grow in my climate but I can't claim they're really happy here.
ReplyDeleteYour garden is looking so springlike with all those pretty blooms and the Hellebores are gorgeous! While mine are still in bud, I am enjoying yours! Happy Bloom Day!
ReplyDeleteSo wonderful to see your Daffodils! We don't have any yet, but we do have Hellebores. Happy GBBD!
