Good Fences, Thankful Thursday, and
Little Things Thursday

Today I am thankful that we spent all day last Friday driving around northwest Alabama. It was a beautiful sunny day, but with a cold wind coming off the Tennessee River. This fence separates the parking lot from the picnic area at Brush Creek Park. Too cold to picnic, we ate at a restaurant!

And the birds were cooperative. This Ring-billed Gull seemed to enjoy posing for me.
I hope you are having a beautiful day!

Hello, pretty view of the river. Love the gull shot. Do you see the Sandhill Cranes there, I remember them being near the Tennessee River? Happy Thursday, enjoy your day!
ReplyDelete...a drive in the country is always a treat!
ReplyDeleteSo peaceful!
ReplyDeleteAt least there was no snow there!
ReplyDeleteLovely shot. Oh, NW Al brought a spark to my heart...since I was born in NW AL. Miss it a lot sometimes.
ReplyDeleteThe wind has made it feel even colder here in the South! Beautiful photo! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteGood view of the river with the fence. Glad you didn't picnic, it's way too cold. Love the gull, so cute.
ReplyDeleteNothing like a drive in the country. My favorite thing....ever. Thank you for linking up today. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteWooden fences like that are inviting, calling you to stand at them for a moment and chat with the neighbors, or just watch if the neighbors are squirrels and birds.
ReplyDeleteI love wooden fences such as this. And the picture as a whole looks like one I would like to be able to step into.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a pretty spot!
