Wild Bird Wednesday, ABC Wednesday, and Wednesday Around The World

Wild Bird Wednesday
Colbert County, Alabama, USA, October 31, 2017
The American Coot, Fulica americana, feeds on aquatic plants at the edges of lakes, streams, saltwater inlets, and marshes. Their stocky build and short wings make them awkward fliers, but their large feet allow them to walk on marshy ground without sinking into the mire.
