Then the second one advanced and the first one retreated.
One turned away for a minute, and I thought he was leaving.
Then he turned and advanced towards to other bird again.
I wondered if it was a territorial dispute with a younger male challenging an older one.
I am sorry I could not stay to see the outcome. I had groceries in the car that I needed to get home and into the refrigerator.
Have a wonderful week-end!

ReplyDeleteGreat photos - they are fine birds!
Hello, great sequence of photos. Maybe a territorial dispute or two siblings arguing or a couple doing a dance. Thank you so much for linking up and for sharing your post. Happy Saturday, enjoy your weekend.

ReplyDeleteGetting a little territorial, perhaps!
ReplyDeleteNice pics of the mockingbirds. You gotta love a challenge! I have some in the front yard that I enjoy and occasionally they venture to our backyard.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful images of the Mockingbirds.
ReplyDeleteIt's a strange time year for birds to be fighting. But some species do have winter territories.
ReplyDeleteThere was a standoff! Someone was going to have to go home! lol Great photos! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteFascinating! They seem like such smart birds. I remember hearing and seeing them a lot when I was living with my parents in Florida for a few weeks.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos. I do wonder what was going on between them? It's so hard when we want to watch birds but have to take care of other things isn't it?
ReplyDeleteI am finding I have no ambition today & I should be out birding. Instead I tought I'd go out in search of those fine feathered beauties with YOU! Thanks for letting me and all at I'd Rather B Birdin' tag along.
ReplyDeleteMockingbirds are fun to watch and love hearing them sing.
ReplyDeleteA lovely dance (I think). Have a blessed Thanksgiving!
