Our World Tuesday and
Ruby Tuesday Too
|
Baldwyn, Mississippi, USA, July 2, 2017 |
Temporary choir stalls were set up on the steps of the Methodist Church for an outdoor concert before the fireworks began. All the towns in our area scheduled their celebrations at different times, so it was possible for a person to go to a half-dozen or more activities. From Friday night, all through the long holiday week-end (and ending with fireworks in Tupelo tonight), there have been parades, concerts, marching bands, children's activities in the parks, community picnics, and lots of fireworks!

Happy Independence Day!

ReplyDeleteI like the way the events are carried into several days instead of all in one. A wonderful and unique display at the church.

Quite the interesting flag!
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful! Great photos of the decked-out church! The festivities were continuous here in my part of the Midwest, too. We attended a wonderful fireworks display with the best music selections I can remember--ending with "Imagine." Happy 4th!
ReplyDeleteOooh, I love these choir stairs! So creative and festive!
