Crows, July 26, 2017

ABC Wednesday and Wild Bird Wednesday
C is for Corvus brachyrhynchos - American Crow

Pickwick, Tennessee, USA, July 10, 2017
Crows are said to be very intelligent birds, and seeing this one, I believe it!

"American Crows are common birds of fields, open woodlands, and forests. They thrive around people, and you’ll often find them in agricultural fields, lawns, parking lots, athletic fields, roadsides, towns, and city garbage dumps." Quote from All About Birds website.

Have a wonderful day!

  8. There are a lot of them around the city this year!

  9. I recently read a book called "the Genius of Birds" ... the naturalist author wrote to prove that the term 'bird brain' is wrong ... most birds are quite intelligent.... she mentioned crows as ne of the smartest!
