Asian:
The Asian Wisteria vine is usually pruned back to make a shrub.
Now near the end of March, it is just fat buds on bare branches.
Unless we get a hard freeze, we will have blooms in a few weeks.

The grape-like aroma of the Asian Wisteria attracts bees and other pollinators.
There is an American Wisteria that looks similar, but has no scent.
Wavy:There is an American Wisteria that looks similar, but has no scent.
I don't have Wavy. The best I can do is Waving.
It is difficult to get a sharp photo of my Spirea,
because the branches are constantly waving in the wind.
Draw:
Each year I draw my garden plan.
Of course, I will see other vegetables I want to grow,
and find room for them somewhere!

Not only is Big Jay soft, he claims the softest seat in the house!
Texture:

Scudds
I just love your soft (and cozy) kitty! Beautiful plants.
ReplyDeleteoh the wisteria!
ReplyDeleteBig Jay is adorable.
ReplyDeleteWe killed our wisteria. Kept sending runners everywhere. I figured when I was 70 or 80 I would not want to be having to battle it.
I love wisteria! I always wanted one....there are several in town here and I love to drive by and see them.
ReplyDeleteIs your cat pink? Or is that the lighting?
It is the lighting, though our other cat has a small blue streak in her white fur. We have no idea what she got into. It looks like ink, but how did she come in contact with ink? It is a mystery.
DeleteFirst time I've been to the scavenger hunt. What fun. Love your choices. What a huge spirea. I like to clip mine a little but that may be the wrong thing to do. I've never looked it up to tell you the truth. Hope your Tuesday is going well.
ReplyDeleteThe Asian Wisteria is so beautiful. The flower is so similar with Jicama or Mexican Turnip.
ReplyDeleteBig Jay is hilarious. He makes a perfect model for soft, but he might be offended if you actually accused him of being soft. He has a reputation to protect you know.
ReplyDeleteLovely shots. Wisteria is so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteGreat pics of the plants, and that cat is FUNNY!
ReplyDeleteExquisite pictures of nature and lovely cat.
