Garden Bloggers' Bloom Day, September 2021

The northeast corner of Mississippi, USA zone 7b

The colors for my September's Bloom Day seem to be white and all shades of red! Where are my blue, orange, and yellow flowers? Resting? Laying dormant? Goofing off, most likely!

Hibiscus syriacus, Rose of Sharon 'Red Heart'

Another Rose of Sharon, name unknown

Encore Azalea 'Autumn Royalty'

Butterfly Bush, Buddleia

Turk's Cap

Rose 'Iceberg'

Peace Lily

Cypress Vine

Phlox

Now for the 'Pretty, but Not a Bloom' category
My Beautyberry is producing the berries that give it its name. Clusters of tiny blooms open in July, and then each flower makes a berry (food for birds). To see Beautyberry blooms visit My July Bloom Day post

For a look at things to come...
My red Spider Lilies will be blooming by this time next week!

Happy Garden Bloggers' Bloom Day!

  4. All your blooms are lovely, Lea! Isn't it funny how the garden does through cycles with certain colors dominating it one at a time? It happens here periodically too.
