And as we were driving from the restaurant to Pickwick Lake, the rain hit! Pouring down rain! The windshield wipers were working a full speed. I am glad my husband was driving; I hate driving in the rain.

I think it was hoping Mama or Papa would come back and bring a fish for it to eat.
One of the parents was perched on a post farther out in the lake, ignoring the young one. We did not see the other juvenile Osprey, hopefully it has started its independent life without Mama and Papa.
The rain continued until we were almost home, but I am glad we went. We probably won't see the Ospreys until they nest again next year.
Have a wonderful weekend!

Great shots in the rain (hope the photographer had shelter!) Loved seeing Ospreys!
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteI do not like driving in the rain, I have pulled over when it is too hard to see. Love the Ospreys, the young one seems to look grown now. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, have a happy weekend.
Beautiful photos of the ospreys in the rain ~ Xo

They love wet conditions. So nice that you could get these good photos in spite of the weather!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful bird. We had a rain like that late in the day yesterday.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos of the osprey in the rain. I'm not a big fan of driving in pouring rain either. Hope you have a great rest of your weekend!
ReplyDeleteVery cool to be able to follow up on the Osprey. Boy when it rains there it really rains. We haven't had any rain for over two months. But we seldom get that kind of driving rain.

You were probably more bothered by the rain than the Osprey! This is a bird that plunges underwater to catch dinner!
ReplyDeleteGreat captures in the rain. Nice sighting of Osprey.
