The 15th of each month is Garden Bloggers' Bloom Day!
Click on the photos to see them at their best.
I have four colors of Rose of Sharon aka Althea, Hibiscus syriacus.
.
Turk's Cap is just beginning to bloom.
I bought this Lantana a few months ago.
My Phlox plants are near the end of their bloom time, but still pretty.
There are still a few blooms on the Dianthus plants.
The Peace Lilies on my front porch rail are full of blooms.
The Butterflies are loving my Butterfly Bush, Buddleia!
And the Encore Azalea is attracting the Butterflies, too.
After walking all around the yard taking photos, I noticed something orange high up in a tree at the edge of our woods. A Trumpet Creeper, Campsis radicans, a native wildflower vine!
Happy Garden Bloggers' Bloom Day!
I hope you have a Wonderful Week!

Love the wildflower as much as the other blooms. So colourful and perfect!
ReplyDeleteIt's so nice to be able to enjoy a Trumpet Creeper at the edge of the woods. They are too aggressive for my small yard. Your garden has some very beautiful blooms and visitors for this August.
ReplyDeleteYour hibiscus are so beautiful. They always make me think of home. :)
ReplyDeleteSo nice to see so many butterflies and a surprise to see the Turk's Cap. I used to have that in Alabama but it would barely bloom.
ReplyDeleteSuch lovely photos of the butterflies. For all my flowers I get very few.
ReplyDeleteLove your butterfly captures, and your Rose of Sharon (wish I had room for them).
ReplyDeleteYour Rose of Sharon are lovely. That's a plant I don't have, but should! Great shots of your butterflies! Looks like your August garden is beautiful!
ReplyDeletePhlox always reminds me of my Grandmother. Lovely pics, Lea!
ReplyDeleteYour blooms are so pretty and such lovely captures of the butterflies. Your Phlox is beautiful and I have not seen Turks cap bloom in a while, so that is a treat! Happy Bloom Day!
ReplyDeleteLovely pictures from your garden, especially the butterflies. Happy Bloom Day.
