Something, probably a rabbit, has been eating those close to the ground. Or it might have been our dog!
We pick only as much as we can eat in a couple of days because figs are fragile and do not keep well. They can be cooked and made into fig preserves, but we prefer to eat them fresh.
I hope you have a great week!

That is quite a harvest!
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful...I'm imagining the taste right now!
ReplyDeleteThose are some lovely figs! Too bad about something eating them though. I had trouble with ants getting in them when I grew them here.
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteYou have a nice harvest of figs. Have a great week!
They look delicious. Wish they could grow here.
ReplyDeleteHmm, I love figs but I don't think that I have ever had fresh ones.
ReplyDeleteYum! This has me thinking about my great-grandmother's amazing fig-stuffed cookies; definitely a favorite. Enjoy them fresh and in your favorite recipes! :)
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing like fresh homegrown figs. Those with trees in our neighborhood anticipate a harvest in the next few weeks. They are a seasonal treat.
ReplyDeleteIf I were able to pick figs in my backyard I would be transported to a whole new realm of ecstacy!
ReplyDeleteFresh figs. Yummy.
ReplyDeleteFresh figs are so yummy. I am jealous!!
ReplyDeleteYum! They really look good. I bought a tiny seedling 2 yrs ago and it is doing quite well---thank goodness
