Saturday's Critters and I'd Rather B Birdin'

Tupelo, Mississippi, USA, April 28, 2020
With all the stores closed, this Killdeer was the only thing moving around in the Mall parking lot.

Prentiss County, Mississippi, USA, May 15, 2020
Now we know why we have to buy so much sunflower seed! Hey, Raccoon, that's for the birds!

Have a blessed day!

  1. We had a raccoon come to our cabin one time. It was winter so I was keeping some vegetables in a covered tub outdoors. In those days I only had a small RV style propane refrigerator. He was a big one. I could see him through the sliding glass front door. Needless to say, I stopped putting food outdoors and he never returned. - Margy

  3. I love the Killdeer pic! Raccoons are said to have almost as large a population here as the people so they are a bit of a pest in the city.

  7. Raccoons are the main reason I have to go bring my feeders in every night (mainly just the suet, thankfully, they don't seem to have a taste for safflower seed.). I like the Killdeer, such fun birds to watch. Hope you are having a great weekend!

  9. They're both wearing masks too! Neat, and critters of the pandemic.
