Brown Thrashers, Toxostoma rufum, are ground foragers, eating a wide variety of insects. They also enjoy fruit and berries, and I have seen them at my suet feeders when the weather is cold.

Have a wonderful day!

  2. A Brown Thrasher is a delightful species and their cheery song, always delivered in couplets, is music to the ear.

  6. We saw those when we stayed one winter/spring in Arizona. Never before or since, but I still remember. They have interesting eyes!
