And now a couple of non-blooming garden photos...
Beautyberry, Callicarpa americana, has tiny pink blooms in early Summer, followed by purple berries to add color to the Autumn garden.
The Black and Yellow Garden Spiders, Argiope aurantia, are welcome in my garden. They do not bite people, and they catch and eat the insects that like to munch on my plants!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful blooms and I have never seen the Turk's Cap. Interesting and lovely!
ReplyDeleteFascinating buds and the spider, beautiful.
ReplyDeleteLovely flowers!
ReplyDeleteA new meme for me to follow-- thanks. Lovely blooms

Lovely pics of the flowers! The spider looks pretty scary! ;-)
ReplyDeletePretty butterfly bush flowers. I am not sure it's the same everywhere, but in Oregon we have a list of approved butterfly bushes, the others are considered invasive! Not a concern buying from nurseries, but if one orders seeds, it's something I never thought about. And yours has a butterfly! A lot of my "butterfly" plants attract bees, but few butterflies. Maybe my neighborhood isn't butterfly alley.
ReplyDeleteI love that althea and the orb weaver spider. Well, actually, I love all your pictures. Just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful butterfly, beautiful spider web, beautiful flowers. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHi Lea - Your blooms are lovely! I especially love the shot you got of the spider. Happy gardening for a little while longer.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! I especially love your spider lilies. I've never grown them but one of these years I'll give them a try. They're such a bright and fresh late bloomer. Your garden spider is a beauty. Ours aren't quite as colorful but equally good at catching bothersome bugs.
ReplyDeleteSo gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteOh I love your violets, especially the H syriacus. I just dont plant it here cause it easily gets mealy bugs and aphids then eventually virus.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blooms! I've never seen the Turk's Cap before!
ReplyDeleteI love all those purplish-pink flowers at the top of your post but I'm really jealous of the Lycoris, a plant I've thus far failed to establish in my own garden. Happy GBBD, Lea!
ReplyDeleteHappy GBBD Lea! Your beautyberry is already sporting it's jewels! Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteHappy GBBD! You have a lot of great things happening in your garden. We planted a butterfly bush last fall and I was underwhelmed this year. Hopefully if will look as good as your soon.
ReplyDeleteLea-I love your almost fall garden with Solidago, Butterfly Bush, Beautyberry and butterflies. Your photographs are stunning and so is your garden! Happy GBBD!
ReplyDeleteHappy belated bloom day! That Tiger Swallowtail photo is incredible! September is such a beautiful month--just about anywhere in North America. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful butterfly photo! I am not familiar at all with that Turk's Cap. I am going to do some research.
