1. Beautiful Blue Sky (Weekend Reflections and Sky Watch Friday)
|
Pickwick, Tennessee, USA, June 4, 2018 |
This is the view of Pickwick Lake from the Pickwick Inn Restaurant where we met friends for lunch on Monday. The yellow floating circle encloses a swimming area.
2. Good Food!
|
Tupelo, Mississippi, USA, June 2, 2018 |
I thoroughly enjoyed my 50th class reunion last weekend! Tupelo High School '68! The covered serving dishes at the end of the table kept the meats and vegetables hot until we were ready to eat. After the meal we enjoyed music from the '60s. And some of us old folks can still dance!
3. Spring Azure Butterfly (Saturday's Critters)
|
Prentiss County, Mississippi, USA, June 1, 2018 |
A tiny butterfly, the Spring Azure can be found in most parts of North America.
4. Brown Thrasher (I'd Rather B Birdin')
|
Pickwick, Tennessee, USA, June 4, 2018 |
A Brown Thrasher,
Toxostoma rufum, searching for insects in a field of clover.
5. Coreopsis (Floral Friday Fotos)
|
Prentiss County, Mississippi, USA, May 15, 2018 |
Commonly called Tickseed, Coreopsis is a genus of perennial plants that are easy to grow. They tolerate hot weather and are pollinator friendly. There are different kinds of Coreopsis, most of them with yellow or orange blooms. I think these are
Coreopsis lanceolata.
Have a wonderful weekend!
