...I don't think that I've ever see a Softshell Turtle.
...lovely little thing.

What a fun post and it made my mouth water!
ReplyDeleteLove all the pics - water, turtle, bird, etc! ;-)
ReplyDeletePeaceful environment Lea! It has been ages I went to a retreat (in the last churches they only had a women's retreat and at another time a men's retreat). The wren is so cute:)
ReplyDeleteI like that beautiful sky over the lake. Never seen a softshell turtle. They have a flatter profile than what I'm used to seeing.
ReplyDeleteCute Carolina wren with a sweet smile. The camp looks like the perfect place to unwind, refresh, and reflect. :-)
ReplyDeletePhotos so peaceful - no wonder it's a wonderful place for a retreat. I wonder if these are the turtles we used to see when we lived in Arkansas and they would wander into the road at certain seasons.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful getaway! Great photos!
ReplyDeleteOh, so many of my favourites...the clouds reflecting on the lake...a tugboat!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!

ReplyDeleteThose soft shelled turtles are so odd looking! We have them here but rarely see them! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteLove the turtle and the wren!!!
