Tupelo, Mississippi, USA, March 15, 2018 |
The Northern Mockingbird is found in the central and southern parts of the United States and along the Atlantic coast into southeastern Canada. Their southern range extends into Mexico and the Caribbean islands. (There are Southern Mockingbirds in South America).

Tupelo, Mississippi, USA, December 25, 2017 |
Mockingbirds eat a wide variety of insects, and search out berries and fruit for food in the Winter. They do not usually come to bird feeders, but you can attract them by planting berry-producing shrubs and trees.
|
Shiloh, Tennessee, USA, April 1, 2018 |
Mockingbirds are able to mimic a wide variety of sounds. If you hear a lot of different birdsongs one right after the other, it may be just one Mockingbird practicing its repertoire!
Have a wonderful day!
