Willy Nilly Friday, March 9, 2018

Willy Nilly Friday 5, Sky Watch Friday, Floral Friday Fotos, Good Fences,
(and on Saturday) I'd Rather B Birdin'

1. Rain (Sky Watch Friday)
Pickwick, Tennessee, USA, March 5, 2018
When we were at Pickwick on Monday, it was cloudy and windy. The tremendous amount of rain we have had this Winter has the Tennessee River up to its banks and overflowing in places. Most of the dam's spillways were open to relieve the high waters upriver.

But there is beauty to be found even on dreary days. Do you see the two Herons in the tree?

Great Blue Herons, Ardea herodias

2. Good Food!
Tupelo, Mississippi, USA, March 8, 2018
Anything and Everything Salad at Logan's Roadhouse: Grilled Chicken, Tomatoes, Blue Cheese, Walnuts, Bacon, Boiled Eggs, and Dried Cranberries on a bed of Romaine Lettuce with Ranch-Blue Cheese Dressing. It was delicious!

3. Snowflakes (Floral Friday Fotos)
Prentiss County, Mississippi, USA, March 3, 2018
Spring Snowflakes, Leucojum vernum, are members of the Amaryllis family.

Their first appearance means Spring is here!

4. Horses (Good Fences)
McNairy County, Tennessee, USA, March 5, 2018
.

5. Favorite Photo of the Week! (I'd Rather B Birdin')
Pickwick, Tennessee, USA, March 2, 2018
Northern Mockingbird, Mimus polyglottos

  6. Beautiful herons hiding up there in the tree. The fence is, of course what I am supposed to be looking at, but it is the horses I see. Lovely photographs.
