Solitary Sandpiper, March 17, 2018

Saturday's Critters, Weekend Reflections, and I'd Rather B Birdin'

Tupelo, Mississippi, USA, March 8, 2018
I live 300 miles north of the Gulf Coast (Gulf of Mexico) so I am not familiar with shorebirds.
I see them only occasionally as they migrate through our area. I think this is a Solitary Sandpiper, Tringa solitaria. I am hoping that someone more familiar with shorebirds can confirm this ID for me.
Have a wonderful weekend!

  2. That’s a really nice photo of the Sandpiper. Sandpipers are cute funny little birds. I like watching their little feet dart the waves.
