Willy Nilly Friday, October 13, 2017

Willy Nilly Friday 5, Sky Watch Friday, Saturday's Critters, and I'd Rather B Birdin'

1. Harvest Moon (Sky Watch Friday)
Lee County, Mississippi, October 4, 2017
On Wednesday evening last week, the setting sun was casting a rosy glow in the clouds just as the moon rose in the east.

2. Catch of the Day (Saturday's Critters and I'd Rather B Birdin')
Tupelo, Mississippi, USA, October 7, 2017
Great Egret, Ardea alba

3. A Most Unusual Thing
Pickwick, Tennessee, USA, October 2, 2017
People who live near rivers often build their homes on pilings in case of flooding, but I have never before seen a mobile home raised up high like this one.

4. Farming: Cotton
Prentiss County, Mississippi, USA, September 30, 2017
The cotton clothes you wear have their beginnings in fields like this.

.

5. Good Food
Tupelo, Mississippi, USA, October 12, 2017
One of my favorite places to eat in Tupelo is Taziki's Mediterranean Café.

And this is my favorite meal: Grilled Salmon, Greek Salad with Kalamata Olives and Feta Cheese, Basmati Rice, and Baked Pita Chips.

I hope you have a wonderful week-end!

  2. Hello, I love your moon shot, just beautiful. Great capture of the egret with it's dinner. The high rise mobile home looks strange, at least it will still dry. Your food looks yummy. Happy Friday, enjoy your weekend!

  3. Beautiful moon. That's a big catch -- well done by the egret and well done by you for your catch. High rise trailer -- lots of folks in my area who lived in trailers by the rivers sure wish they had had high rise trailers after Harvey. I love Mediterranean food ... making my mouth water! Happy Friday!
