Assassin Bug, October 14, 2017

Lee County, Mississippi, USA, October 24, 2017
On the windshield of my car, the nymph (immature form) of an Assassin Bug. They are ugly little things (and they bite), but I thought the bright sunlight created an interesting shadow.

I really need to wash my car more often if I am going to use it in my photos!

Seeing this critter on the side of a U-Haul van brought back childhood memories of spending many Summer evenings happily chasing Fireflies around the yard.

Learn more about the Firefly's bioluminescence at the U-Haul website You will be surprised!

Almost all the donkeys I see are brown, so this cute black one really caught my eye!

Have a wonderful week-end!

  4. my brother used to hit fireflies with a baseball bat, he found it so funny. Sure it's a bug, but it did seem a little wrong

    1. Boys will be boys! I think we all did things in our youth we certainly would not do as adults.
